It’s here! It’s finally here. After training for 3 months and running 194 miles total (yes…I followed the training plan to a T) and it’s about the distance from Lexington, KY to Knoxville, TN) it’s finally here…my first half marathon.
Luckily for Mark and I, we have been injury-free the entire time. Besides soreness that comes and goes, but is never unbearable, everything has been wonderful. I’ve had to run 8 miles in NKY and 12 miles in Bardstown, but I refused to miss a day.
I’ve sweat (a lot) and I’ve cried (believe it) and I’ve found that if I would ever be addicted to any drug, it would be thoss endorphins that make me feel on cloud nine after each run.
So now I’m freaking out….I’ve ate pasta each day this weak (no lie) and I’ve drank half of the office water jug to hydrate. Is there anything else? If I can think of it, I’ll do it. I can’t wait. It’s HERE!
I’ll let you know on Sunday how it goes. I have a goal in mind, but I’m not going to tell you unless I actually hit it. We’ll see!!! Say a little prayer for me.
